What is a Spa Party?

• A spa party is a personal show for you and your guests set in a fun, relaxing environment. It is great for a girls' night out or a relaxing afternoon break. It might be just the excuse you and your friends need to get together.
• You and your guests get to shop and sample locally-made bath & body products while they relax with a complimentary foot spa and visit with each other.
• Depending on availability you can also have a licensed massage therapist give chair massages. As hostess you receive a free 10-15 minute massage. Guests pay $1 per minute. Length is dependent on the number of guests and other time constraints. Average time is 10-15 minutes.
• You can ask questions about skin care and natural products and get a well-balanced and honest opinion.
• As Hostess you will receive a hostess gift, $30 Soaps by Bonnie credit plus a $5 credit for each guest that orders more than $30.
• As hostess you would provide refreshments and appetizers.
• Parties are available in Spokane and outlying areas. Travel depends on numbers of guests and availability.

Spa Parties are similar in concept to Pampered Chef parties. You would be the hostess and invite your friends, usually to your house. As hostess, you would provide the guest list, snacks and drinks. I bring all the tubs, samples and get everything setup. A massage therapist will also be available for short chair massages or hand/foot massages at their rates. In Spokane it usually costs $10-$15 for 10-15 minutes. I can also bring a few extra chairs if you need them. You can invite your guests, or you can just forward the list to me and I can take care of sending postcards or e-invites.

As far as the party format, at the beginning I do a brief introduction. We usually jump right into a foot soak and massages after the introductions. I also usually do a short get-to-know-you party game during the foot spa, nothing too stressful but something to talk and laugh over. Most of the time it is just everyone visiting and having fun with friends. I am not a big advocate of high-pressure sales or even structured sales presentations, so I just let the products sell themselves. You and your guests will have lots of chances to sample the products. I'm basically there to answer questions. There are always party specials and no shipping charges for the Spokane area (unless they want their order shipped elsewhere). At the end I will take orders and deliver them to you in about a week.

For hosting the party, you would receive samples for the party, a special gift (this fall I am leaning towards the new Silky Hands Gift Set), a free 15-minute chair massage and a minimum $30 catalog credit adding $5 for each guest that orders more than $30.

With the parties in the past, I have found the relaxed approach provides a great experience for everyone. They don't sit around in a circle listening to me, they sit in a circle soaking their feet and visiting with old and new friends. It is just a lot of fun and everyone leaves a little more refreshed and relaxed than when they came.
